Event listing packages & prices

You pick one package. The price is flat — no mental maths. Below: what you get, how long you stay on the public board, and what “Featured” and “Banner” actually mean. RCSpotter does not organise or host your event.

In plain English

  1. Every paid package puts your event on the public events board (list + map pin) and includes one photo.
  2. You only appear on that board in a limited window before your event start date — not years ahead for €10.
  3. Featured = your card sits in a special group above normal listings. Inside that group, sooner events are listed first (not “whoever paid last”).
  4. Banner = a big strip at the top of the events page. Separate from the list. You can have Banner without being Featured.
  5. Featured and Banner also get a prominent map marker with the RCSpotter target logo — bigger and easier to spot than a normal Public pin.
  6. When the event ends, it leaves the public board.

One photo is included with every paid package. Drafts stay free until you pay to publish.

When does my listing go live?

Think of a “board window” counted backwards from your event start date. If you pay earlier than that window, your event can sit as a draft / on your club page, but it does not sit on the public board yet. When the window opens, it appears automatically for that package.

Example

Event starts 1 September. You buy Public (€10) on 1 January. Public board window = last 90 days → your listing appears on the public board from about 3 June, not from January.

  • Board windows use the event start date.
  • If you buy inside a Banner window (e.g. only 40 days left), Banner runs until the event starts — you do not get leftover days after the event.
  • After the event ends, it leaves the public board.

What does “Featured / up top” mean?

Featured does not mean “I own row number 1 forever.” It means your card is in the Featured group above normal listings. If several events are Featured at once, we sort them by event date — the soonest event is highest. A new Featured listing does not bump an earlier event down just because someone paid yesterday.

Club page only

Members-only note on your club page. Not on the worldwide public board. Not a map pin for people browsing /events/.

  • No payment
  • Visible to people who open your club
  • You can upgrade later to a paid public package

Public

Your event on the public board for everyone: title, dates, place, tags, description, contact, one photo, and a map pin. Normal list order — not Featured, no Banner.

  • Flat price €10
  • On the public board for up to 90 days before the event starts
  • One photo included
  • Independent organisers and club stewards can list

Club Business

If your club has Club Business, the €10 Public package fee can be waived — about one free public listing per month, still with the same 90-day board window. Featured, Banner, and Featured + Banner are still paid at the prices above.

Event Listing Policy

Every public (paid) listing requires acceptance of the Event Listing Policy at publish — packages, board windows, Featured order, and reschedule rules (max one move, within 60 days of the start locked at payment).

Photo requirements

One photo is included with every paid package. The same file is used for the list card, the event detail, and — if you buy Banner — the banner strip.

Format

JPEG, PNG, or WebP. We store a resized WebP (JPEG fallback).

File size

Maximum 8 MB upload. Larger files are rejected before processing.

Pixels

We resize to a maximum width of 1920 px. Upload sharper if you have it — we downscale safely.

Aspect ratio

Landscape about 3:2 looks best on cards and banners. Portrait is allowed — we show the whole picture (letterbox), not a hard centre crop.

  • Prefer a clear field / aircraft scene with readable sky and subject
  • Avoid tiny logos on huge empty backgrounds — they look weak on the card thumb
  • You must own the rights to the image you upload
